If you have registered for an Instructor account on ElementsED.com, you can add QuizMaker modules to your account, create class rosters for class sections, and create quizzes and exams for your
students.
For courses that include NPT certification, the QuizMaker module also allows Authorized Instructors1 to enable Certification Exams for their students.
Add Modules. Add a module for a class you will be teaching (such as the Pro Tools|First QuizMaker+ (v12.8) – Audio Production
Basics module).
- From the Dashboard, click the +Get Modules link to view the available QuizMaker modules.
- Click the appropriate button to add a module. The module will be added to your account, and you will be returned to the Dashboard.
Create Rosters. Create a class roster for each section of the class that you will be teaching:
- Click the Manage Classes sidebar action.
- Click the +Add Class button on the top right.
- Give the class a name and select the subject2; then click Create.
Invite Students. Invite your students to join the class sections you've created:
- Click the Copy Invite Link button on the Manage Classes page to copy the invitation for a class section.
- Paste the invitation link into an email or online post for students in that class section.
- Students who click the link are taken to the Elements|ED site to log in or register.
- Once logged in, the student is automatically added to the associated class roster in your account.
Create Class Quizzes and Exams. Create assessments for the students on your rosters:
- Click the Create Quiz or Create Exam sidebar action.
- Configure the assessment as desired:
- Give the quiz or exam a unique name, such as Quiz 1.
- Select the class section for the quiz (from the rosters you created).
- (Optional) Activate the assessment using the checkbox.
- Alternatively, you can create an assessment that you activate later. This ensures that students can’t complete in-class work in advance.
- Select the Difficulty level and the Chapters to include.
- Select the Number of Questions to include using the selector at the bottom.
- Click the Create Quiz or Create Exam button to complete the process.
- Use the Manage Assessments sidebar action to activate/deactivate quizzes and exams at a later point.
Track Results. Track student scores and results on assessments they have completed:
- Click the View Grade Sheets sidebar action.
- Select the tab at the top corresponding to the class section you wish to view.
